I'm not sure I see what the problem is with the height of jack stands. I can see how finding a suitable jack might be a problem. However, if you already have ramps, why not drive up on the ramps first, block the rear wheels, then use a large, heavy duty floor jack that can get your car up high jacking from the center jack point. Then place jack stands at the side jack supports on the car. Doing it this way will make the low clearances of the Viggen's lower cladding irrelevant.
The bigger problem: if the viggen's side jack points are anything like the 9-5, they are awful for supporting the car on jack stands. On the 9-5, it is an edge, and I know that paint damage from resting them on stands (even with cardboard in between) is going to lead to rust + rot in the future. Finding a suitable/compatible pad for the jack stands is the biggest problem imho.
I really like the look of some of those scissor lifts people posted in the past (or like the guy with the porsche off petrolicious). I will eventually probably go for a 4 post lift with jacking options in the middle... this will enable car storage also. Bender posted links to some kind of nice looking combo jackstands/jack setup that allowed you to jack from the side and put the jack stand where you jacked, but it was really expensive. I think lifts are the way to go if you have $$ and space (and they can save space if you have height).
I really do not like jacking our cars with floor jacks + stands. I always jack from the central points on the 9-5, but you need a big jack, and it needs to be centered well.
be careful. don't get hurt!
