Another option is the Atlas drive-over mid rise scissors lift linked below.
The Atlas is less costly but heavier. Area under car with Atlas is not wide open but automatic safety locks are built into the machine. Atlas can be stored under the car without risk of damage by driving over it. Atlas lift can be moved from under car storage to center of garage by use of large casters on one end and hydraulic power unit on other end. Not clear if casters are an option and if hydraulic power unit is included.
