Windows 7 on two home machines and work Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Mon, 31 Mar 2014 18:30:59 In Reply to: April Fools from Microsoft???, Bill Homer [Profile/Gallery] , Mon, 31 Mar 2014 18:11:51 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
The laptop we bought last year came with 7 and I recently "upgraded" our home desktop to 7 following a nasty virus which destroyed part of our XP operating system and I discovered the XP disc which came with the machine from DELL didn't really contain the full program.
Windows 7 is a viable alternative but be aware that some XP software will not run on all versions of 7. The oldest and flakiest application on our XP desktop runs on 7 with no issues. WIS will not run unless using a virtual machine which is very slow to boot.
