This device is bad news all around. They make the claim that you can't get charged extra based on the information they obtain, but you can save money. This is a major red flag. Insurance companies are not in the business of giving away money, so you can be assured that they are getting something back for these short term savings you may experience. In the long run, it will cost you, and possibly everyone else, more. The plan is probably to get enough people to voluntarily submit to this monitoring so that when it comes time to make it mandatory it seems like not that big of a deal. It is a big deal. I'm not sure why you are not overly concerned about the privacy issues, but I think you should be.
