Thanks to everyone who recommended a Boston-area shop. We'll be going to them for additional estimates. The car is an unusual color - Ruby Mica Metallic. There aren't any recycled doors anywhere in that color, which doesn't surprise me. I htink over the years I've only seen one or two 9000s in that color - and there used to be lots of them around here.

FWIW, the estimate the adjuster used was prepared by a business that is apparently a junkyard, er, recycler - not a repair or collision shop. They overcharged for the recycled door shell ($250 as opposed to only $175, which the high-end shop listed...), and then 'way underestimated labor and paint. We'll see, now that the issue of just totalling the car has apparently been put aside.
