I installed 22 of these in a 100+ yr old house over 2 summers. Yes it took that long because I do work a full time job and there was much prep work and some wood replacement involved. I chose them for some of the same reasons you mention: they are of a fiberglass material and look so much better than plain vinyl. No matter what brand I shopped, I just couldn't justify putting pasty white vinyl in my house and feeling good about it. The Infinity's jumped out at me as a quality product. Stronger, trimmer, cleaner look. They were not cheap, ill warn you of that. About half of mine have a stainable simulated wood interior finish, which you need to get up close to, to discern from real wood, which added to the cost as well. They are all installed now and look and operate nicely.
Check out window blog sites - national fenestration council - for tons of info and window comparisons...probably too much info actually but some brands really do get trashed repeatedly and others stand out, you decide.
