Are the batteries in the wireless mouse fresh? Perhaps its signal is received better by the Win* machine.

I assume that the wireless mouse has a "dongle" that plugs into a USB port and this typically provides the Bluetooth connection on computers that don't have Bluetooth built in. Perhaps you can't turn Bluetooth on when the dongle is plugged in due to some conflict?
