I recently totaled my good PC by shorting out the USB post so took to using an older HP Probook 4310 with WIN 7 . This was 3 weeks back and have been using the wireless mouse which plugs into a USB port - but suddenly it stopped working and windows no londer recognizes the device - it's a MS mouse. It works fine in another computer running WIN 8.
using the trouble shooter and going to ms to get device drivers only earns me a message that WIN 7 is no longer supported.
Also highly suspicious of MS - are they messing with my laptop - if not why would the OS suddenly no longer recognize the device, reboots do not solve the problem.
