My questions too, and why I no longer watch.... Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Sun, 25 Jan 2015 05:31:45 In Reply to: Deflated Footballs, No Snaab, Sun, 25 Jan 2015 05:05:05 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
From the initial news stories all balls must be delivered to the Officials 24 hours before the game so they can verify correct inflation pressure.
On every play at least one Official, and commonly two, retrieve the ball from a player and then place it at the line of scrimmage. Wouldn't they notice the difference in inflation pressures between the balls used by the Colts and those used by the Patriots?
And don't get me started on the lack of objections from Vegas bookies regarding the two disputed receptions which placed the Colts in the Championship game versus the Patriots! This silence alone should be proof to all of us that the winner will no longer be determined by quality of play on the field.
Just another justification for why I stopped following football at any nationally televised level three to five years ago. At one point it was my favorite sport.
