ESPN over a week ago showed that underinflating a football by 2 psi -- the alleged amount the Pats underinflated their balls -- would enable a QB to squeeze the ball a whopping extra 1mm. You know, as in 1/25 of an inch.

And not only does the league apparently not have records as to the inflation in each ball allegedly underinflated, it appears the balls were down by only 1 psi, not 2.

As for 'the Pats are cheaters' mentality out there over Spygate and other nonsense, I think it originates from disgruntled Rams fans and a can't-let-it-go Marshall Faulk whose team lost a SuperBowl to the Pats. Uh, Marshall? It's football and your Rams got beat up on both sides of the line of scrimmage the entire game, not that the Pats knew your 'finesse' brand of football plays.

Full disclosure: I grew up going to Pats games starting with a Boston Patriots - Miami Dolphins game at Fenway Park! And I'm visiting Boston now (great timing with the Mother of all blizzards hitting tonight) and have all the joys of WEEI sports talk radio to sustain me.
