I don't watch football since Ice hockey is my sport but I got intrigued by this and the lack of info after the initial fat headlines.

Heck, I didn't even know that each team brought their own balls. Why do they have to fight so hard for that only one if they have their own set to play with?

Never the less, how hard can it be for officials to check the pressure before the game start and certify that it is correct and then as it looked like, check them again after the game and consider air temperatures and such and then just disqualify the team that for some unknown reason managed to have almost all balls under-inflated.
