Yup - be very careful on taking confidential business information. Within the past year, I have needed to file two suits against former employees who took very valuable electronic information. Both times the employees seemed genuinely surprised the companies took offense. Depending on the business you are in, some of the electronic information will warrant a suit. For example, in the past I have seen car salesmen sued when they copied their former dealership's customer list. In the two cases I filed, one engineer took with him designs for robotic equipment, that our competitors would just love to have. In the second case, the guy took proprietary software that, again, would have been coveted by competitors. So just re-read your employment contract and be careful.
