Yeah - the idea of getting much water down the dipstick sounded pretty unlikely, even in a downpour...
battery light was just on when it stalled. No issues since. I put a new battery in in the winter when the old one stopped charging properly. This one has been perfect. Car starts on first spark every time.
I'm pretty sure it was just water in the ignition. Anyway, I basically left it through the workday to dry out. Came back in the evening and it started and drove a short distance fine. I actually did have a stumble early today - there may still be a little moisture in there, but it seems great again, especially since I put some miles on it today.
