Check out the information about Bill Milliken's camber car, a formula type vehicle he designed and built many years ago. The book called Equations of Motion has a plethora of info on the car and the testing associated with it. Bill drove the car at the Festival of Speed at Goodwood some years ago, when he was in his 90s.
I think it had Saab wheels on it from perhaps a 96?
For those that don't recall, Bill is the father of vehicle dynamics as a science anyway. He also developed the oxygen systems for the B17 amongst many other innovations in aviation as well as the auto industry / motorsports. For someone in your field, he would be an interesting person to have been associated with from the invention standpoint.
Recently, I saw a four door Japanese car with the wheels way out on camber, and it wasn't from the weight in the car - they were purposely installed that way, and for some reason, I bet the guy in the driver's seat never heard of Bill Milliken.
