My '96 9K semi-Aero just passed 224K. Runs fine, but needs some body work, and it is on the downhill side of it's life. I want to keep it to 250K or more, but with NH winters it could be a bit iffy.
Wife's 2003 9-5 has 140K and will become mine in a couple more years when replaced by some CUV. Which, of course, may let me keep the 9K longer, as a rolling resto and a toy. Which could be ok.
Daughter # 1 has a '00 9-3 with 230K. It lived in GA until 3 years ago, and can run a good bit longer but she has her eyes on a Suby wagon as the replacement.
Daughter # 2 has a '99 9-3 with a mere 140K but lives in NYC and is getting to be a bit of a beater. She plans to run it into the ground. But is pretty much indifferent to what she drives. Probably wind up in a Yota.
I'll carry the flag awhile longer, maybe score a 'vert, but the Saab days, except as hobby or toy cars seem to be fading.
Sigh. Sniff.
