I'm sure they'll always have some value as a niche vehicle for people like...well us. I don't know that they'll ever really get much traction as a "collector"car. I think the problem is that they are too much like new cars, and yet at the same time they aren't enough like them--they aren't as good. You can get any number of new sport utes, mid-priced sedans and even economy cars that offer comparable/better performance. What has always driven the collector car hobby has been the perception (right or wrong) that older cars were better, or at the very least different enough to justify paying a premium for them. Cars from the '90s up just don't have that much to offer over a newer car. I think the truly premium cars like Ferrari, Porsche, Jag, etc will always have some cache, but I don't see the more mundane ones gaining much in value like cars from the 50's and 60's.
