Turning the corner... I actually kind of disagree. If you look in the classifieds, there was an SPG listed for $20k, which is now sold, though how much the price was negotiated was not stated... but all in all, I've noticed prices for c900s are on the rise as supply of them dwindles. The highest prices are generally correlated with better condition cars...
I think it is a generational thing. The Viggen is not the icon to kids of the 80's that the SPG is... but I'm surprised by commentary on other saab bb/sites re newer models... surprisingly many look at c900's as old, wierd, and not as cool as a Viggen. Kind of like some kids of the 80's might view the pre-99 Saabs. They see differentiation between a viggen and other models of the late 90's early 2000's (I see that too, Viggen was pretty unique aesthetically), and though it is more like a modern car than a c900, modern cars are more modern now than they were in 2000... I'm sure there were threads re this 10-15 years ago re c900's when there were more of them on the road than today... So my feeling is the Viggen will become a bit of a collectors car and turn a corner financially in another 10 years or so... Now's probably the time to find a good one while they can be had cheaply and so one can maintain it before the rust sets in. That is what is killing off the c900's now!
