I think the C900 would be the exception. Since it's origins go back to the mid '70s it IS enough different from modern cars to be a true classic. For many years people looked backward to the cars from the 50's and 60's as a "golden era" never to be duplicated. We are now in a new golden era of truly unprecedented performance, and cars across the board are much better in any way you can name. The performance of the Viggen and Volvo is pretty ho-hum by modern standards. They are nice cars, fun enough to drive, and have some unique aspects going forward. But no one is going to pay new car prices to have one now or in the foreseeable future. In other words I would consider buying one for a price, but that price would be considerably less than a late model 3 series/A4 in the case of the Viggen or a new/late model Volvo wagon.
