why go with T rated vs Q when you can get H?
To follow up on pme's comment, I had Michelin Primacy Alpins on our 9-5 for a season (bought used but plenty of tread depth). They were great on dry roads, great fuel economy for a winter tire, and decent in ice and snow. They are H rated and a very good touring tire for winter. I replaced them with Nokian Hakka R which have been not much better in snow and ice and not quite as good on dry roads as the Michelins... so I'm not sure if the snow/ice performance is the car or that the R is not as good as other hakkas, but I think you would do fine with that tire in your climate. I'm hoping the R2 will be better than the R (R2 contains grit), and if so that will be my next tire. I wish I could use studded numbered hakkas here.
Anyway, that would be my suggestion, one of the H rated winters like Michelin Primacy Alpin, or maybe Nokian WR (which would be H or V rated). There would be other options also. Good luck!
