Only use Roof Rake from the ground! I forgot to include that as the rakes are designed for ground use, but to a new purchaser who has never used one before.....
I purchased additional extensions so I could clear the second story roof eaves from ground level. I have the included shorter extension equipped with a bicycle handle grip, and three additional extensions which are slightly longer. I never use all of them. The rake is very unweidly with three extensions attached until you get accustomed to its use.
But it safely clears the roof eaves of snow from ground level!
NOTE! NEVER use a roof rake in the vicinity of overhead electrical wires, whether they be feeds to the neighborhood or the service feed to your house/garage. Aluminum pole, electrical wires with potentially very poor insulation, and the holder of the pole standing in snow, does not paint a pretty picture for long life expectancy. Our neighborhood is 100% underground fed for utilities but many others aren't.
