The only experience I have is that sometimes when you actually go to court, the "DA" who is running the show might go through all the people and offer to reduce their ticket from something like 75 in a 55 to 65 in a 55 which reduces the fine but gives he "DA" an 'conviction' and no wasted time. The other thing that has happened to me is when I got pulled over for going through a red light. The cop was on the other side of the intersection and I went through a green light with a green left turn signal while it was red on his side and he assumed I went through a red light and gave me a ticket. I went to court to contest it but he didn't show up so they just threw out the ticket completely, but I had to wait there until just about every other ticket was contested before that happened. You can take a chance that the office won't show up and if he doesn't, you win... that's my experience.
