The U0100 is a universal code for loss of communications with the ECU, or maybe for loss of communication with the engine since Ithe code must originate within the ECU.
U0101 is the universal code for loss of communications with the Transmission Control Module.
You may have a flaky ECU, a bad wiring harness, a bad connector in the wiring harness, etc. You may or may not actually have a mis-fire situation IF the mis-fire code is always accompanied by the U0100. sort of a chicken or egg scenario. are you having a mis-fire or is a mis-fire being reported because of sometign wrong with the ECU or wiring loom?
