Yup, I get it. Like Swedecar I don't actually like modern forum systems very much. Pelican parts is great and their forum is useful for information, but just as an example (as an aside, making links work is easy also):
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/932419-very-rough-idle-accelerating-after-dme-harness-cut.html
There are some photos posted in this thread, but then people reply with quoted text including all the images and to read through you have to constantly be processing which chunks to skip that are quoted (different colour background) and which are new (sometimes people on similar forums quote all the text to add a 1 liner or emoticon)... and if they don't quote text, it can be impossible to figure out which other poster's comments they refer to (and this confusion often spawns flame wars, maybe not on Pelicanparts forum, but for sure on others)...
I would strongly not want Scott to adopt that style of forum. the threaded system here works really well. Much better imho!
Maybe, he could consider (in his copious free time, ha!) an additional feature "easy button" photo feature to give a popup with a photo to download feature, that in one go stores the photo(s) in the member gallery and sticks a link to the image(s) in the post.
But for many of us, the way things currently work is quite useful. If you look at Anders' posts, he often answers similar questions using the same photo link and it would be a waste of time to keep uploading those off a computer... what if one wanted to answer a question from a different computer or off a smartphone, etc? I suppose you could store your photos on some other cloud... but you see my point.
