And I was talking to them about Ramadan -- I try to sort of keep track of
when it is, it's kind if interesting how it slides around in the year
since they have a completely lunar calendar. So it was in June this year
and he was talking about how it's harder in the summer because of the
longer days, (you're not supposed to eat between sun up and sun down),
and he said his mother lived in Finland and it was really tough for them
there because the days were so, so very long. No idea what you do if
you're above the arctic circle! Never thought about that before.
I guess observant Jews would have the same problem on The Sabbath.
