My knee problem was diagnosed as only "Jumper's Knee" that I incurred 2-1/2 years ago jumping up too quickly from my desk chair (and the laughter starts). Actually, the jumping up too quickly caused a re-injury of a partially torn MCL I suffered while snow skiing in the mid 1970's.
Doctor's advice for the recent injury was specific exercises and time to heal. 2-1/2 years later the knee is still unexpectedly problematic. It will be great for a while, then Boom! The knee nearly collapses when descending a flight of stairs
We just don't heal like we did when we were younger.
Hopefully your recovery will be better than mine!
