Ours is a Genie Opener and Key Pad Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Mon, 6 Apr 2020 16:05:30 In Reply to: Re: Same Problem-How to Separate The Case ?, Roger D [Profile/Gallery] , Mon, 6 Apr 2020 11:04:23 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
The two halves are snapped together rather than glued. I tossed the original key pad which was a different style and lasted the longest. Keypad #2 has been sitting on a corner of my work bench since I replaced it ~4 years ago. Now Keypad #3 is exhibiting the same symptoms that led to replacement of #2.
The photos were of keypad #2. I haven't checked if current replacements are the same style, or if they have gone to glued bodies too.
A Hobbyist Razor/Jewelry Saw may be able to cut the body along the glue joint, then Model Airplane Cement to rejoin the halves.
