Way OT - In the market for a new car (for my wife)

I like cars. Still love my 2001 9-5 Aero.
My wife loves something better than a horse to go from point A to B.
Currently she drives a 2010 Mazda CX-7, AWD. Lovely little 2.3L that happens to use the same oil filter as my Saab, so at least that's easy.
Unfortunately, someone went and drove in front of her and bam. Now we need a new car.
Her current mandatories are AWD and heated seats. A 3rd row is a plus but not 100% needed.
I'm struggling with the cost of used cars AND the cost of new cars. I guess I'm just shocked in general.
Couple options on the table:
- 2012-2015 Audi Q7 TDI - Roughly $25k but that would come with 75k on the clock
or
- Brand new Hyundai Santa Fe PHEV - roughly $32-35k after rebates.
or
- Maybe something else used?
The 25k option I'd probably just pay cash for, after insurance gives a check for the crashed Mazda. Obviously the new one would come with a payment, or potentially a lease, but those rates don't look great on the lease side.
This is a smart group - thoughts? Go with something new and suck it up? Or buy something used (and likely overpriced), but limit my losses and try to flip it later?
For what its worth - 90% of her drives are short... <10 mi.
