I know this may not help much but I can tell you something you maybe should *not* do!
I buy stuff on ebay all the time but until a couple of years ago had never sold anything there. At that time I put something up for sale priced around a thousand dollars (a musical instrument) as "local pickup only" as I wasn't really in a position to ship it. Per ebay's policy, I was required to accept paypal as the payment method.
Someone purchased the item, paypal'ed me the money, and came and picked it up, and I thought I was all set. But due to ebay's "buyer protection policies" and the fact I was a new seller, they held up my money for over a month! I did finally get it, but the unexpected delay was a real headache.
So if you're thinking of selling your car on that site and have never sold there before, be aware you may have to wait a long time to receive payment.
