I’ll occasionally lose power for up to a week or so. Many neighbors have gas generators but I’ve never had one. Have used the wood stove. Will be interesting to see how the solar backup works in a prolonged outage. Since I put it in we’ve only had short outages, longest 10 minutes, but the backup works seamlessly for those - don’t even have to reset clocks.

Last week my well pump died - the fun of rural living!
