The ECM on my '07 9-3 SC was replaced with a rebuilt unit from Orio 15 months and 12K miles ago and is going strong (as he knocks on wood).

There is a kit to provide better thermal and vibration isolation for the ECM, and a thread on the 9-3 board from June of last year about it. It's probably a good idea to install when the ECM is replaced.

HUGE shoutout to Ari, who offered a free kit and installation service that I was able to take advantage of. He did it in the alley behind his garage in about 20 minutes.
