When I blitzed the article, I assumed it was a Ford trade paper, sorry.
Too bad to see Saturn take the hit. Saturn seemed like a good idea at the time and so many innovative things happened there, especially on the human side, I for one wished they could sell to expectations. But you're right - if they aren't selling and don't make the inroads they needed to to keep growing against the competition, they'll either need to change or quit - but this is for the bean counters to figure out.
For a time, I was taken with the wagon a bit, but geez, they seemed so hard to get into (headroom etc) you'd be better off having one in your late teens and early 20s than try to adapt with a mature body - and I'm not overly tall or in any way fat. I had Dodge Colt Turbo that was way easier to use - perhaps because it was a 2-door, the doors opened wide, and the seats were superb.
And so if it's going to be a car for that age group - then for Pete' sake get some pizzazz going with an upscale, fun image.
