As a "qualified" memeber of a Special Forces "A" Detachment, I worked real hard to earn my "green beanie." I sympathized with the Rangers and have seen some overweight slugs wearing the Black berets. What a joke. If I understand correctly the Rangers are going to a sand colored beret. I suppose that is some consolation. Notwithstanding the beret issue there is one thing that will always set the regular army apart from these units: the tabs they wear on their shoulders, "Special Forces," "Ranger," and "Airborne."
