"God help us if passing on the right is ever outlawed"

I'm pretty sur it is in most if not all states.

All of you have hit on good points. One of my favorites is people who leave the turn signal on all the time, so you never know if they are really planning to move over into your lane.

My absolute biggest one lately is truckers with bad attitudes in general. Here's some examples:
-They clearly see you coming along at well above the speed they are travelling, with no one else behind you, and decide that is the perfect moment to make a pass on the truck in front of them, with a speed differential of 1 MPH.
-Coming up to a work zone where 2 lanes merge into one, two trucks will pull next to each other at least 1 mile ahead, effectively forcing the merge to be much sooner, so that all those pesky cars don't take advantage of the difficulty trucks have in stop-and-go traffic to merge in front of them.
-Tailgating. Nothing worse than having several tens of tons of truck 16 inches from your bumber in traffic at 75MPH.

I will say one thing - be careful with the games you play with stupid people. You never know when you will run across a whacko, like the one who repeatedly tried to run me off the road because he apparently thought I merged in ahead of him a bit too closely. I had to find a police station to finally be rid of him.

Re SUVs- trust me, you will really hate them if you even own a small car like a Miata. Airhorns were a mandatory self-defense modification to that car after I was almost run off the road 3 times in the first week I had the car by SUV drivers who came over without even looking, let alone signaling. Never seemed to happen with "car" drivers....

People who slam on the brakes if the light turns yellow 500 yards away.

People who cut left turns so closely that there are mere few hairs' bredth between their car and your front bumper, and then glare at you for having the temerity to actually pull up to the stop line!

Don't even get me started...

Scott
