SAAB's only engine from 1947 to 1967 was the three cylinder two-stroke engine. In 1967, SAAB manufactured the two-stroke engine, and also bought from Ford the V-4 engine that replaced the two-stroke. With the base two-stroke engine, you had to add a quart of oil to 8-9 gallons of gas. For more information, visit the "other models" BB, and search both TSN and the BBs for "two-stroke engine."
