Okay, so I'm doing 5 over on the way back from Lowe's this afternoon (home improvement place) and some freak in a Chebby Malibu decided I wasn't going fast enough and stayed about a foot from my bumper. I decided to give my windshield a good, long wash (I've got a couple of the nozzles aimed straight up so I can wash tailgater's windshields) and this guy decided to pass me on a double solid... only I had seen it coming before, just a gut feeling, and left it in third gear while cruising at 50mph. A simple drop of the hammer and he was in my rearview again, shocked at how this ancient Swedish box with the back seat down and a whole bunch of construction supplies shoehorned in could possibly lay the smackdown on his Malibu....

So, how does everyone here deal with tailgaters? Any neat suggestions? My stepdad uses the rear foglight in his 9-3 all the time, and a friend of mine once jettisoned a frozen bottle of Pepsi out a sunroof and took out a windshield (thank God I wasn't in the car for that one), but how does one creatively get back at a tailgater with a minimum of safety risk?
