With apologies to Francophones around the world, French is useless from a practical standpoint. Take it only if you want to learn a beautiful language. Ditto for Italian. I have 7 years of French under my belt and I almost never use it, even when I travel to Europe (France excepted, of course).
German is a bit more practical in central and eastern Europe, and places like Turkey and the former Yugoslavia due to the guest workers who've worked in Germany. Beyond that, useless.
IMHO, you should suck it up, foregt the straight "A" grades and build on your Spanish background. If you live in the US it's useful everywhere. And it practically opens up a whole hemisphere for travel.
I don't know what your college major is but if it's pre-law or medicine, I suggest Greek or Latin. Definitely not the easy route but one that would pay huge benefits in overall literacy and intelligence.
