Hey Joe, what a lucky guy you are! I've never stopped in scottsbluff, but
have driven past there many times on the way to the Black Hills, S.D. or
Reno and Vegas. That's a great part of the country both historically and
geographically. You can still see the wagon tracks of the pioneers who travelled the Oregon trail through Scottsbluff on the Way to Oregon. That
part of the country is still relatively unspoiled and still in it's pristine native prairie state. You are a days drive from the Black Hills of
S.D., Cheyenne, Wyo, Denver, Co., and Salt Lake City. Mucho wilderness and
nature areas. If your not into that kind of stuff, maybe you wouldn't fit.
But it's Natures Paradise. On second thought, as soon as I get this 96
running, I think i'll move there myself, now that I think about it!
If you are into literature, check out some of the poetry of John G. Neighardt (Nebraska Poet Laureate) who wrote beautifully about that country
at the turn of the century, as well as his best known: "Black Elk Speaks"
Good Luck: "The Kansas Kid"
