It is too inconvenient and we americans love the convenience of just hopping in a car when we want and driving off. Worst of all we hate limitations, I don't want to limit myself to 126 miles before having to stop for ~6 hours. Plus, I can have a 205hp/ULEV/30MPG SAAB for relatively the same price and not have to deal with the inconvenience. Honda and GM lost money when they tried to sell an all-electric car and Toyota will too as will eveyone else until they make it worth buying.

I don't mean to sound negative, because I think it is a great start, just a little ahead of its time. BTW, I don't see how they get away with calling it a zero emissions vehicle. Just because the vehicle doesn't put out any emissions, doesn't mean that the powerplant that produced the juice doesn't. That's like saying, "I didn't have to pay a penny for this new toaster, they just GAVE it to me when I opened a new account".
