Drove a brand new, 10 miles on the odo, Pontiac Grand Am from Raleigh to Wilmington NC. Sure it would do 80mph the whole time, but boy was it scary. Rattles everywhere. Really awful, uncomfortable seats. An interior that looked old when it was brand new. The doors didn't even close solidly.
GM is squeeeeeezing its suppliers to cut costs, so what do the suppliers do? They make cheaper and cheaper parts. Look at the interior of most new GM products, and they just yell "CHEAP!!!".
