Just curious where you went to college. I was born and grew up in Roanoke, VA. Even though there are a lot of Camaros and Trans Ams, there are a lot of Saabs in the area. Of course I'm probably related to many of the rednecks you mentioned. I have a cousin who loves Trans Ams and Camaros. I'm not sure how many he has owned. He is an engineer, has multiple engineering degrees, and works in space systems. Not exactly a redneck. But then I know quite a few folks who fit the stereotype mentioned in this thread. Quite frankly, who cares? I bought my Saab because I enjoy the car. My cousin bought his Camaro because he likes it. Maybe there is something about genetics because I occasionally get the urge to watch "Smokey and the Bandit." It finally passes when I step outside into the German neighborhood where I live.
