I drove a '90 trans am for my first three years of college. yes, a redneck car, but that was one of the only downsides of owning the car. the build quality was actually pretty good, I sold it at 230,000 miles with all original drive-train, only a replaced axle from me abusing it. It blew the doors off many a late model BMW and Saab. I got tired of having to basically lay down to drive the car. Also people think you are inbred just for owning one. It was a beautiful car, but you wouldnt find a Saab owner touching one even if they liked it. The social consequences are just too much. How's that for following your own road?
