This is not a wealth issue -- its a parenting issue. You can't overgeneralize to say that wealthy kids don't have a work ethic and have no respect, just because they're wealthy.
I'm lucky to be doing pretty well right now, and when I have kids old enough to drive I hope I'm doing even better. That being said, if they want a car they'll have to buy it themselves. Same for stereos, video games, or whatever else kids want these days. It's the parents' job to raise kids that appreciate the benefits they've been given and respect other people. It's the parents' job to raise kids with a proper work ethic.
On the other hand, I will fully fund my kids education through high school and college. After that, it's their responsibility.
