Check manufacturers installation & maintenance recommendations. Are pre-filters & afterfilters recommended?
Pre filters trap contaminants and oil. If the desicant gets coated with oil it will lose its moisture absorption capacity. The afterfilter traps desicant dust. Desicant dust may not pose a problem, but oil will definitely have a negative impact on the desicant's ability to absorb moisture.
The desicant will reach a saturation point and will require regeneration. Is the desicant filter a throw away type? Typically desicant regeneration is done by heating up the desicant while bleeding to atmosphere or by running compressed air through the desicant while bleeding to atomosphere.
Just a few points to consider.
Good luck.
