than the M3 engine >:)
It's very simple:
9-5 Aero 30-35k USD vs. M3 50k USD:
9-5 is safer, more reliable, has much more space for driver and passenger, it's classier and much less expensive, just as good looking etc. The only thing the M3 has on it is raw speed and cornering. But if you put just a fraction of the price difference into the 9-5 Aero in mods, you have a better car in every way for less money. It's as simple as that.
Modifying a Civic is a poor example. It will still be a small, tinny, ugly and unsafe car no matter how fast it is, plus the engine won't last 50k miles with that kind of tuning.
You say that if you can afford to buy a BMW, you aren't looking for value? Does that mean you buy a car from it's perceived ability and image, instead of real ability and quality? I would call that having more money than sense. Or maybe you're just trying to compensate for something?
Now go on back to your herd of sheeple....
