WiFi is okay if you have the encryption turned on, and plus you can limit access to wireless cards with MACs (identification #s) you specify.
Newer 802.11b wireless routers actually feature 256-bit encryption (versus simpler 128-bit, or 40-bit WEP), and I believe 802.11a is even more secure!
And *nothing* beats wireless if you have a laptop...
You could always do both. My D-link wireless router (only $99!) actually has 4 "wired" ports in addition to its wireless capability. Built-in firewall too.
Check out the dual-band 802.11b/802.11a wireless routers now on the market too!
