Being a young guy with a fairly nice car, I must say that I have worked for everything I have. Sure, I didn't have to worry about food on the table when I was growing up, and was fortunate (and grateful) for that. But I did put myself through university (having a co-op program did help), and before graduation found myself in a position to treat myself to a new car after years of scrimping. Ever since, I have been labelled the following: spoiled, daddy's little boy, and others that escape me right now (even by family members, who are aware of all I have done). So, does the fact that I have a good work ethic and sense of money mean that I shouldn't get what I want when I want it? Should I feel guilty because former classmates don't have what I have right now? I don't think that I should at all...
Anyhow, I just needed to vent. Don't assume that the new, fancy cars on campus were bought by someone's parents.
