I knew that the only diesels on Saabs nowadays were a 2.2L 125hp, on 9-3 and 9-5 (Opel origin), and a 3.0L V6 with 175hp, only for the 9-5. What's this 3.0 200hp on 9-3? Are you sure of it?
BTW, I have test drove the 3.0: it really didn't pulled stronger than my '87 9000T16, same 175hp but LPG-converted. I was very disapponted by this, because I thought it could have been much better. Engine pulled only above 2500, and finished its job at 4500. My car starts at 3000 and pulls up to 5500. That diesel power didn't impressed me much, it wasn't more powerful than a gas engine and it was heavier and much more noisy. Fotunatly vibrations were at good low level. The only reason I could had to buy it was the fuel economy and the lower price of the diesel than gas, but here in Italy this is a much bigger issue than it's over there in the US.
Cheers!
Stefano (Italy)
