between choosing the 9-3SS, 9-5, 330, A4 for a 27 year old single guy.
Well as luck would have it, my brother received a company car with his promotion, and henceforth gave me his 1985 MB 300D Turbo. While this is an old car, has seen a great part of the world, has 180K miles on it, it is in great shape. While it is not the ideal replacement, it will allow me to postpone my purchase of a new car to the end of 2003 or begining of 2004, where I hope to test drive the 93SS Vector (I really liked the 93SS, and my ultimate decision before this oppt was between the 93SS and the A4).
While this car is a bit slow, smokey and automatic, it is extremely reliable on the highway, where I do most of my driving while giving me a great return on my mileage, with one week of driving averaging 36mpg. Maybe Saab can also bring the diesel to the US, has I have heard they are alot quieter and cleaner in Europe now. Until then I can always say I am driving a Mercedes Benz.
