I recently applied for some new life insurance and in addition from the exclusions for auto racing, private aviation, rock/ice climbing, mountaineering, and scuba diving, is foreign travel. If you are going to Western Europe you are maybe OK. But if you plan on Africa, Asia, Middle East, or other hot spots they will deny coverage until you return. And if you take out the policy without telling them you are going, then die on a trip to those areas, your beneficiaries may get nada.
And flight and travel insurance already excludes acts of war and terrorism.
