My friend met a guy with a single 12yo daughter. They really hit it off well, but he didn't want to her to meet his daughter until he was really sure that he really wanted to have a relationship with her. This took about 5 months before my friend met her SO's daughter and they hit it off great and are still together.

I think its hard when people have kids, because kids can get so attached to people, too. So if she or you wanted to end it, that potentially 3 people instead of 2 that get caught up in it and hurt.

I think if you really like her, you'd give her the time she needs. I don't think an ultimatum is the way to go since there is more at stake here for her than for you. Unless of course you feel that your emotional needs aren't going to be met by her, which is seems like you might be suggesting, then you should just call it quits now.
